3D Art / paper roll sculptures

Experiment with three-dimensional, abstract Art. Arrange the roll pieces randomly, stack them one on top of the other and play with layers, levels and colors.

Materials and tools:
  • Several toilet paper rolls.
  • Scissors.
  • Liquid glue.
  • Paintbrush.
  • Watercolor paints.
  • An old cardboard box.
Instructions:
1. Find an old cardboard box.

2. Dissasemble the box carefully and with scissors cut out a rectangle.

3. Take one or more toilet paper rolls and cut them into smaller pieces.

4. Cut the pieces randomly but make sure that you have pieces of different shapes, like rings, trianlges, strips etc and of different sizes.

5. Glue the pieces onto the cardboard. Arrange them one next to each other or stack them one above the other. 

6. Wait until the glue dries well and the pieces stay stable onto the base.

7. Paint with watercolors both the background and the paper roll pieces.
